One more week~

I've got a whole week with all four kids at home. Any creative ideas to keep us busy?

We are planning to work on play doh potato head and construct our gingerbread house the last one we did - it was June - so I'm not too late with this project) Right now, they are making tents with the couch and blankets.

I took the tree down and removed some of our holiday decorations on Sat. It feels good to get rid of some of the clutter.

I look forward to your ideas! Remember - age - 9, 7, 3, and almost 2
(can that be? - almost TWO??!!)

I just plan on doing things I wouldn't normally let them do.....play-doh...maybe paint. I am busy today running around so they are entertaining themselves! Maybe we should get together and let them play! =)

oh this is easy Holly... Duct Tape... when they get too roudy, just duct tape them to the couch, the floor, their bed, whatever you want... Aren't I going to make a great mom??? :)

I like to play glow in the dark bowling. Get a bunch of glow sticks (from the dollar store) and put them around some plastic bowling pins, then either take the ball that comes with the bowling set or make your own with the glow balls you buy at the dollar store and turn all the lights out. this is a great game to play in the basement. if the kids bite the glow sticks the stuff inside will burn them, but it's not toxic and washes out with water... I found this out when I called poison control... so have fun! :)

I also like to go to the dollar store and get a bunch of dress up clothes/accessories and take funny pictures.

Enjoy your time off with the kids... we should get together sometime soon...

I really jumped on this one looking for suggestions. My day of rest today turned into a day with both boys, Jenn has the flu, hmmm that is the way the wind blows, did you send it down to her with the tree? Playdoh always works for me, the boys like big bowls of dish soap bubbles and the turkey basters on the kitchen floor and then I just clean it all up with the beach towels. They are entertained, my floor is cleaned, multitasking at it's finest! We also made pudding today, I am still cleaning the kitchen from that. If all else fails, I strip them down to diapars and let them paint and then throw them in the tub. I hope that I get to rest tomorrow, I'm too old for this.

Thanks for the comment. I am actually planning to donate all the caps and scarves to someone or some organization. I have never read the book...I'll have to look for it. I just learned to knit, these are practice.

About Me

My photo
I am the daughter of a King. I am the apple of His eye. In addition, I'm a wife to the most wonderful man in the world - seriously - he puts up with me and loves me no matter what. I am so thankful for Brian! Most importantly, he loves the Lord with all of his heart and is a Godly role model to our children and others. Because of him, I'm a mom to four wonderful children - Ezra who's almost 9, Grace is 7, Elliana is 3 and Isaac who was a year on April 18. Life is a crazy whirlwind full of unexpected turns. This blog is to stay close to many friends and family throughout the US.
